Important Things To Note About Deconstructed Fashion

By Noemi Wallner

A case whereby clothes are unfinished, recycled, grunge, coming apart and transparent is called deconstructed fashion. It literally means destroying garments in the attempt of doing away with a particular trend. The designing procedure involves combining two opposing esthetics. This gives either sides sense of prevalence but none in particular is dominant over the other.

The term deconstruction has always been used to imply the revolt against traditional practices of art. The elements of damage include exposed seams, antique linings stitched on and the outside of the cloth and zippers. Basically, the attires call attention to its mechanics which produced it, stripping away the aesthetic impression associated with the clothes thus revealing the modes of manufacture that lay beneath.

The irony in destroying one fashion is that another one is formed in the process. This is commonly evident in circumstances where the old trends return to the market. Styles are therefore very dynamic and have a cyclic behavior. This is because many people always want to stand out from the rest so they choose to go for that which is not worn by many.

Vogue is quite trivial and this makes it very difficult to relate it to philosophy. It is always tending towards triviality, aesthetic play, commercialized and robbed significance. As evident, this is quite different to the staunch beliefs of philosophy which demand authentic thought and seriousness.

Numerous sense of style always originates from the previous ones. The hierarchy of trends always seems to erode as time goes by. This is associated to the mass production of the trend and its media publicity. This is quite contrary to saying that trends are basically built on speculations. The desire to stand out in new and unique outfit is basically what drives the entire industry.

Designers are very instrumental in realizing a certain style. Westwood, Galliano, Hamnet, Gaultier and Versace are among the influential designers who made an impact by what was on the street. The idea came from negating culture and their ability to expose sexual taboos and political ideas, fudge gender roles and explicit nudity. Anti style usually goes way beyond the basic role of clothing. It depicts garments as aged, unusable and distasteful.

Deconstructed fashion cannot be described as the superficial illustration of philosophy. It is actually the interaction realize between the two phenomenon which result to a trend. Other designers return the focus back to the point. This can be seen by the production garments which enlighten the forms of construction since deconstruction is more of an occurrence than it is explainable.
